Carsten Martens (Chukku) is a German-born producer, mixing engineer, and sound designer whose work spans major international artists, global brands, and the underground electronic scene. As the founder of ASA Group HK & Bali — a music production hub, record label, and publishing company — he has built a career rooted in sonic precision, creativity, and world-class engineering.
Recently signing to Armada Music (Disconnected), Chukku's momentum accelerated with his official remix for Jan Blomqvist, which charted in the Top 100 in 70+ countries, achieved multiple Top 10 positions, and reached #1 in Lebanon. His original productions have earned multiple Top 10 Beatport entries and support from Black Coffee, Maz (BR), DJEFF, Antdot, Chambord, Avangart Tabldot, and more.
As a DJ and artist, Chukku has performed at major festivals, clubs, and cultural stages worldwide — Wonderfruit (Thailand), Clockenflap (Hong Kong), Secret Shamba (Kenya), Pacha Ibiza, Volar Hong Kong, Morabito Bali, Greenkomm Germany, Pepperclub China, Glow Thailand, and Tresor Berlin. He has shared stages with Damian Lazarus, Kenny Glasgow, Tube & Berger, Nakadia, Pippi Ciez, William Djoko, Oxia, Viken Arman, and Felix Da Housecat.
He is the founder of Aya Studios Bali, a high-end recording facility where Grammy and Emmy Award-winning producer Kipper (Sting, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder), Grammy-nominated engineer Mikalai Skrobat (Kanye West, Travis Scott, Pharrell Williams), and artists including Jamie Jones, Adriatique, Hot Creations, Damian Lazarus, Seth Troxler, Guy Gerber, Laolu, Nick Morgan, JNR Choi, P-rallel, Rui Da Silva, Chus, Ali Love, M.A.N.D.Y., Jo.Ke and many more regularly create, write, and record.
As an engineer, composer, and sound designer, Chukku has collaborated with leading global brands including BBC, National Geographic, Universal Studios, tvN, Leeson Media, Coca-Cola, Lamborghini, Audi, BMW, Chanel, Hermès, Timberland, Lego, Spotify, and Disneyland.
Chukku also leads Souta, an independent underground electronic label dedicated to supporting innovative local and international talent.
